Our Anniversary

I can't quite figure out how the time has flown, but today marks our 8th anniversary of moving to Georgia. There has been so much life that has happened in those eight years.

We've had:

diapers go by the wayside
teenagers making their debut
new friends met
forever friends confirmed
hundreds of thousands of mileage driven
hundreds of thousands prayers petitioned
death in our family
life in our family
a marriage with hills and valleys
a marriage that is stronger than ever
renovations on our home
parties in our home
week long visits from family and friends
vacations together with family and friends
snow on Christmas morning
snow on Spring Break
Texas celebrations missed
Texas celebrations attended
mistakes made
mistakes learned from
scars and broken bones endured
scars healed and bones stronger than before
tears shed
laughter heard

We don't know what God has in store for our family, but we do know our story is not done here.  We can only pray that we see His hand guiding us and follow Him in this adventure of life. While some of us may have thought of Georgia as our personal Nineveh when we left Texas eight years ago, we are grateful for the blessings that we have had bestowed on us while here.

Life in Georgia has made this little family of 7 grow in more ways than we could have imagined. This is a beautiful life full of memories made and memories to come.

  1. Beautifully written. Hard to believe it has been 8 years since our first trip to Suwanee to bring Pearl and to help a little bit on you guys getting settled in. Love your neighborhood, friends, your town and we also now have a fun place to come visit even if we never get everything we planned on doing done! :D Love to my favorite Glynn Gang.
