Christmas this year was spent back home. It was a good thing that we decided this in October because as it turned out, Chris was (basically) gone from Thanksgiving until December 23. I would have been one cranky mama if we had decided to stay in Georgia AND he was gone traveling.
But as it was, we spent most of Jesus' birthday season in Texas.
We had our Meyer family Christmas.
Although the bad part of the day was that we were without Chris - he was terribly missed.
We spent the day at Amy's house and ended the evening with a little caroling.
Claudia didn't know our Christmas carols, so she stayed snuggled up with Jenna. Poor little Jenna. She gets so cold because there just isn't much meat on her bones.
We did a little cookie decorating thanks to my other mother, Nora! Such a good time!
Then we went straight to get Jenna' very first haircut. Boy, how her look changed in mere moments. Chris said that they may have cut her hair off, but they added some attitude on.
before...
getting a little pampered...
she didn't quite have enough to donate, but that is a 7 inch braid!
and after...
Then Paige turned 6. Candles in pancakes...
candles in bagels and cream cheese...
Then the 6th birthday party. Poor Chris. He was supposed to arrive at about 12:00 pm. He was so delayed that he didn't even leave Canada until 7 hours AFTER he was supposed to have landed. So he got home to a crowd waiting for him.
Whew! That is a lot and we haven't even gotten to Christmas yet! Look for the next round of Christmas info soon. I know you'll be on pins and needles waiting...
