I wish I could record all the noise and sound that went with it, but I guess I'll have to treasure that in my memory. Thank you guys for taking time out of your busy Christmas schedule to come spend it with us. I love you!

The Meyer Family Christmas...
...was held in Georgia this year. Everyone keeps talking about how this could possibly be the last year we can all get together like this. I guess that is true. Jason and Emma are in college and finding their new path. Travis isn't far behind. The Browns heading to Oklahoma. Us in Georgia. I guess life keeps on changing whether or not I want it to. But I have to remember that if we had not moved here, we would not have had the opportunity to host Christmas this year in this way. 17 of us under one roof! It was so chaotic, loud, confusing, and SO MUCH FUN! Mama made the comment that she has never been able to kiss all 11 grandkids good morning and good night all at the same time.
I wish I could record all the noise and sound that went with it, but I guess I'll have to treasure that in my memory. Thank you guys for taking time out of your busy Christmas schedule to come spend it with us. I love you!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
The bonus of having an artificial tree is that when it comes time to put it up, you just go get the boxes. I don't have to spend an hour just putting the lights on poking myself - needles poking my face and sap all over my hands. Did I mention that there is no watering either? I do miss the trek to pick out the tree and the smell. But I don't miss the coughing the allergies bring, the money spent at the tree place, and the constant watering (did I mention that?). Don't tell Chris, but I am glad he made me agree to doing this when we moved to Georgia.
Abby gets to put her star on top first:
Nice hole in the ceiling, huh? It's a special family that gets to add that to their Christmas deocoration.
Then the decorating begins:
Hannah sang with the school choir at the lighting of the caboose in downtown Suwanee. For you who know Hannah, this was HUGE! She still does not want to do anything that calls attention to her. Big group, little group - it matters none. I'm so proud that she volunteered to do this!
Christmas program at church. It felt so good to not be in charge. We just showed up when they told us to and left after it was over. So pleasant!
We had a dove and camel
And a beautiful angel
Then our house got a special guest for the season. Hannah begged me to let her write a letter to Santa asking for an elf. I've told her over and over that I do not need any more mischief in my house than is already here. She promised that she'd only ask for a good one. When I told her that she could mail the letter, she almost cried with pleasure. She hugged me so hard and would not let go. My heart sang!
Of course this morning she came down and said, "It would be a little more fun if she was just a little mischevious."
I've had sick people in my house off and on since the week before Thanksgiving. It really puts a crimp in my prep for Christmas. But as of yesterday, all were at school and healthy. Of course there are class parties each day. So there goes my chance to run errands. Even today the twynns are home and do not want to run around. Who can blame them?
I counted it up. In the last 4 weeks, there have been 7 doctor visits and multiple medicines. We have 2 more visits for next week - Hannah is getting 2 teeth pulled and Paige needs to have more blood work done. I cringe at the amount of money I've spent. I am just so grateful that my co-pay is only $10. It could be worse. I know that. But STILL!
We have family coming in 7, 8, and 9 days. Such excitement fills the air as we prepare!
Happy Advent!

Halloween
October came in with some warm weather and left with the beautiful colors of fall. That is definitely a blessing of living here is that I get to have autumn colors. It's gorgeous!
You saw all those pumpkins I carried. Well, they all got carved.
We went to our annual Halloween party the Saturday night before October 31. It is our theme year and we were the Glynn version of The Justice League...
Peter Parker, Wonder Woman, Super Girl, Spider Girl, War Machine, and Bat Girl
(Lois Lane went to her friend's house instead of the party)
The jack o' lanterns looked great all lit up...
Happy Halloween!

First Day of Preschool
I just realized that I never shared the twynns' first day of preschool...
They are absolutely loving it! They are going Monday through Thursday and are excited every morning that it is a school day. We were talking last week about next year. They said something about preschool. I said, "No, baby. Next year you will be at school with the girls. You'll be in kindergarden." They looked at me with big 'ol eyes. I took for granted that they understood how this game is played. When they realized what I was saying, they were beside themselves! It was fun to see how their excitement!
Locks of Love
Hannah got her hair cut today. She has 10" and will send it to Locks of Love. She had not gotten her hair cut since the last time she donated 2 years ago. The hair stylist was so concerned that Hannah was going to get emotional over cutting her hair. I couldn't quite get her to understand that she does not care!
Isn't she beautiful?!

All You Can Carry
Pike's Nursery has an "All You Can Carry for $16". That is 6 pumpkins in my arms! The manager was so impressed as I walked up to the check-out, that he even gave me another 20% off!

The rest of summer goes by
The Angst family made their way to our house. We may not share the same blood line, but they are family. After all, they have been here 3 times in 3 years. Now THAT'S love!
Waiting for America's Birthday fireworks...
Happy 8th birthday, AJ!
I love these Skype shots!
Her birthday dinner request was shrimp at Longhorn
A weekend with the Glynn girls! I'm sure after the weekend with us, law school and teaching overseas is a cinch! Stephanie and Angela...
"I'm done with this!"
And then the Carrs finally got to come see us... minus Gibs :-(
We went on a roadtrip! Plus we "kidnapped" Brooke for the day and took her with us. Yeeeeaaaah... Not sure if her mom will let her come play at our house again!
Adam had a little trouble getting down...
And I got some great shots of the kids...
We ended the day crossing the border just to say that we did.
